Would you like to have the opportunity to take part in the Royal Naval Associations’ Parade as part of an RNCCA squad? It is being held at the Cenotaph in Whitehall to commemorate the sacrifice of those of our predecessors lost wearing naval uniform, be it on land or sea.
In this 80th anniversary year of the conclusion of WWII, this is one of the final occasions where we might be graced with veterans of this conflict. It is beholden on us to take this opportunity to commemorate the resilience of that generation who sacrificed so much.
This is a much less formal event than the November ceremonies but allows members who cannot get those precious tickets through the RBL to parade at the cenotaph with the First Sea Lord taking the salute. The parade will not take more than one hour. As well as giving the opportunity for members to meet it will also provide an opportunity for you to meet other associations and shipmates and have a beer or two on completion.
If you are interested in taking part please contact Mark (honsec@rncca.org) with your name and contact details.
It would be great to have the RNCCA represented at this very important event.
