Very sad to report that Clive passed away on Tuesday 1st October – A stalwart of the RNCCA and a good friend to many. Clive’s funeral will be held on 5th November in Canterbury – details are on the members page ‘Crossed the Bar’

There were very few people I could look to and learn how to conduct myself when I was growing up as a Senior Rate; Clive was a rare and fine example. A good friend and I shall miss his irreverant dits and stories.

I too was guided as a new RS by this gentle and slightly mischievous man and although never personally very close I was always glad to meet up as he always seemed genuinely pleased to see me. A great figure within the branch who will be sadly missed at our gatherings. RIP Clive
