It is with heavy heart my sad duty to report the passing of one of our “Founding Fathers” and former Mess President at HMS Mercury RNCCA Member 002 Lt/CRS Dennis Alderson, aged 92. Our thoughts and prayers are with his Son Mike and all the family and friends at this sad time.

R.I.P. Dennis
Dennis was a proud member of the Association and always gave good advice when needed. He was best man at Arthur and Norma Farrer’s wedding and Norma has advised me that the funeral is at 13.00 on Thursday 25th May at St. Mary’s Church, Darley Lane, Derby DE1 3AX followed by burial at Normanton Cemetery. Unfortunately I (at the ripe old age of 92 in June) am unable to attend his funeral and offer my sympathy to Mike, Chrissy and family on their sad loss.
